Madelyn Saner is a chronic illness patient and advocate who shares her stories online to help bring awareness to the struggles and experiences of the chronically ill and disabled.
After developing Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome at age 11, she had trouble finding the support she needed from medical professionals. At 17, she started sharing her medical journey on Instagram under the moniker @chronicallymadelyn to find support from fellow patients.
She has since been diagnosed with more chronic illnesses, including Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Craniocervical Instability, and has started spending her time trying to bring awareness to invisible illnesses and disabilities, as well as to the prejudice that patients — especially young patients — face when living with an invisible illness.
