Meghan Gilfoyle

Fellow

Meghan Gilfoyle, PhD, MSc, is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Digital Health Evaluation at Women’s College Hospital, where she plays a central role in driving research initiatives focused on evaluating the integration of digital health solutions into primary care and broader health systems. Meghan is currently involved in research that examines how these technologies can be leveraged to improve patient care and health outcomes, reduce administrative burden for primary care professionals, and contribute to more efficient, patient-centered care models.

Meghan’s academic focus is grounded in employing mixed methods, including social network analysis, to explore and advance participatory approaches in health research. She is particularly interested in building and sustaining trust in research partnerships, ensuring that research is not only collaborative but also inclusive of diverse voices. Her PhD, completed at the University of Limerick’s School of Medicine, centered on investigating the dynamics of trust in participatory health research using a social network approach, providing insights into how trust can be nurtured and sustained within a participatory research network in Ireland.

Meghan is excited to collaborate with The Patient Revolution’s diverse community to advance thoughtful, compassionate and patient-centered health care. She looks forward to building a network that fosters meaningful conversations and drives advocacy efforts which challenge the status quo, and advocate for care that is careful, kind, and equitable.
