Julia is a Finnish–French–Argentine healthcare advocate currently living in Helsinki, Finland. Her own experiences, and especially her role as a caregiver to a family member, have shown how broken and unsustainable today’s healthcare systems can be. She has seen the problems first-hand in areas such as elderly care, women’s health, chronic conditions, and the lack of coordination across services.
To deepen her understanding, she completed the Health Economics and Policy online certificate at the London School of Economics. The course explored how economic tools can be used to design fairer and more effective health systems, covering topics such as efficiency and equity in healthcare, universal health coverage, pharmaceutical policy, and inequalities shaped by the social determinants of health.
She is committed to using both her lived experience and what she has learned to push for change. As part of The Patient Revolution, she hopes to advocate for care that is not only effective but also humane, respecting the dignity and rights of every person.
